Consistent Staff
Students work with the same prepared, dependable tutor throughout the program.
Programs
Toolkit Tutors provides in-person tutoring programs designed around the realities of school operations. Most of our programs follow the High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) model, a research-backed approach that uses consistent tutors, consistent schedules, and small groups to accelerate student learning. Every model is staffed by carefully selected tutors and supported by Toolkit throughout the placement.
High-Impact Tutoring
High-Impact Tutoring (HIT) is one of the most effective school-based interventions available for students who need additional academic support. Effective HIT programs use consistent tutors, consistent schedules, small groups, and close alignment with classroom instruction. Toolkit incorporates these principles across most of our tutoring models.
Students work with the same prepared, dependable tutor throughout the program.
Most tutoring takes place in groups of four students or fewer.
Programs are designed around the school day whenever possible.
Tutors communicate with school staff so sessions reinforce classroom goals.
Program Models
A tutor works directly within the classroom, providing academic support alongside the teacher. This model is ideal when schools need additional instructional support during the school day.
A tutor works within the classroom while delivering targeted small-group tutoring to a defined roster of students. This model combines classroom integration with the structure of a High-Impact Tutoring program.
Students leave class on a scheduled basis to work in small groups with a tutor in a dedicated tutoring space. This model provides the highest level of instructional focus and is ideal for targeted academic intervention.
Tutors begin the day supporting students in their classroom environment and then transition into structured after-school tutoring sessions. This model creates strong alignment between classroom learning and tutoring support.
Small-group tutoring programs focused on rigorous exam preparation, skill development, and academic acceleration. Sessions emphasize practice, strategy, and mastery of tested content.
